🔹 1. Charles Babbage – Father of the Computer (1830s)
Charles Babbage, an English mathematician, is known as the “Father of the Computer.”
In the 1830s, he designed the Analytical Engine, the first mechanical general-purpose computer.
It could perform calculations and even had memory and input/output systems — much like modern computers!
👉 But it was never fully built in his lifetime.
🔹 2. Alan Turing – Inventor of the Computer Model (1930s–40s)
British genius Alan Turing developed the concept of a universal machine (Turing Machine), which became the foundation of modern computing theory.
🔹 3. ENIAC – The First Electronic Computer (1945)
The ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) was the first fully functional electronic general-purpose computer.
✅ Invented by John Presper Eckert and John Mauchly in the USA
✅ It could solve complex math problems thousands of times faster than humans
✅ It weighed about 27 tons and used over 17,000 vacuum tubes!
